A lot of people become interested in the currency markets after seeing advertisements promising fantastic riches with Forex. Naturally they are interested in getting the sort of training that realizes those kinds of results. More cynical people probably think you can’t get rich with forex, and that might preclude them from visiting a site like this, or researching training. So, this is for you hopeful, bright people who still have a bit of innocence.
Let’s face facts, though: not everyone get’s rich trading in forex. Not even a substantial majority. There are no statistics on how many people actually get rich with forex, but the fact remains that there are some. Of course, it also matters what you consider to be “rich”. A lot of people are more interested in having a good lifestyle, making decent money and having lots of free time to do the things they want. That’s what they call being rich. There are plenty of successful traders if you consider that as your definition of rich.
But millionaires who started with just a couple of hundred bucks? Yeah, there are those too. However, what got them to where they are now is not the same kind of training that the sure-and-steady traders got. I don’t advocate the get-rich-quick approach to forex, but I realize there are a lot of people out there who will probably be interested. So, where do you go for training for that?
Realistically, I think it has more to do with getting lucky. I haven’t come across any particular get rich forex training that actually works, because, well, I’d have used it. Rich here, being millions of dollars a year. If you hit the market just right, you can turn a couple of hundred dollars into a couple of thousand dollars. But you can’t do that every day, and there’s no training for getting lucky.
So I guess I’m going to have to be a bit of a disappointment and recommend against following any forex site that promises getting rich overnight with their special training. You can make a lot of money in the currency markets, but it requires the same things you need everywhere else: consistency, discipline and money management skill. Especially the latter.
If you are getting into forex just for the money, it’s unlikely you will get rich from it. Now, if you really like it, and enjoy trading, then you have a much better chance at being successful. Again, forex is like most other activities: people who are really good at things usually really like what they do, and that’s why they make a lot of money.
